The prices are for board only, no fin, no board bag. I can add board bag for an extra £30.

i99 WCSlalom 129 2019 (with foil-ready box) (very good condition, just a lot of scratches and paint chips, there was a manufacturer error with the paint, it peels of very easily) - £950

i99 WCSlalom 109 2018 (the deck between the straps has started to go soft, has already been repaired once, but could do with a proper repair at some point. But apart from that, it's all good, and solid everywhere else!) - SOLD

Unifiber Proteus Raceboard and Loftsails quiver for sale

Hi all,
My Raceboard equipment is for sale, all brand new from earlier this year, so that I can obtain a fresh quiver for the 2021 season. I can give a discount for anyone that buys a package instead of individual items. Kit currently located in Aachen, Germany, but I plan to drive to the UK in late December.

Unifiber Proteus 378. €2100. This board is a highly competitiave alternative to the Starboard Phantoms that have dominated the market for most of the last decade. 316 litres with thick rails makes it well suited to heavier riders, but I am 70kg and have had no issues. Very stable ride when railing and incredible upwind performance. Early planing threshold similar to Phantom despite lack of batwings, but I find that it requires a slightly different setup/sailing style in marginal planing conditions downwind. Really impressive control in windy and wavey conditions. Tuneable daggerboard system allows the effective length and rake of the daggerboard to be easily adjusted according to rider weight and conditions. Price includes boardbag, UJ, footstraps, daggerboard, fin bolts. Excludes fin. Excellent condition except for two small rail-dings.

Select S1 carbon fin, 51cm. €100. High end racing fin. A bit less lift and power than upright designs with a less eliptical outline/wider tip, but less drag and much better top speed and control with moderate rake for a good compromise between downwind performance and early planing. For me, a perfect match for the board. Perfect condition.

Loft Sails Raceboard Blade LW II 9.5. €800. 5-batten raceboard sail. Very light weight, powerful, easy handling (for a 9.5). This sail excels in light wind conditions, but somehow has a windrange that I think is almost comparable to that of the Tushingham XR Race, making it the sail of choice for 90% of races in a typical UKWA season. I am comfortable on this sail up to 20 knots and have used it in up to 25. Excellent condition. One minor dent in foot panel, 5cm tear in luff sleave from adjustable downhaul (13 years of doing this and I still haven't learnt!), and of course the usual little creases that every sail gets when rigged for the first time.

Loft Sails Raceboard Blade 9.5. €750. This sail is essentially designed as a raceboard-specific sail for planing conditions, but would also be well matched for blasting on a large freerace-style board. Very wide wind range (best in 12-30 knots of wind). Capable of generating a lot of power to get you downwind, but the power comes from the lower half of the sail and it has a stiffer feel and more stability than the LW version. This makes it less suited to non-planing conditions, but gives more efficiency and control in medium-strong conditions. Unbelievable top-end wind range, the cams rotate easily even when downhauled like crazy. I won every race in 18-35 knots at the German nationals on this sail and I am no muscle machine. Perfect condition, only used in 6 races and two training sessions.

Loft Sails Team Edition C100 mast 520cm, SDM. €500. High performance 100% carbon mast. Perfect condition, except for minor scuffs from cam rotation and boom clamp.

Unifiber Elite Carbon Monocoque boom with wide tail, 220-270 cm. €850. High end performance racing boom. Light and stiff, comfortable 28mm diameter grip. Modular system means that the head and tail are removable and interchangable with other Unifiber booms. Price is for boom only, outhaul/uphaul/harness lines not included. This boom cannot be used with a non-adjustable outhaul, as I lost the required pulley. I think you can get a replacment part, but if you are using a sail large enough for this boom, an adjustable outhaul really is a pretty essential piece of kit in my opinion.

Hi

I am returning to windsurfing after a nearly 20-year break, and keen to get hold of a decent course board for sailing on Windermere. Owing to my incompetence on e-bay I missed out on a Mega Cat last week, so thought I would get proactive and start asking around.

Does anyone out there have an old course board (Mega Cat / Equipe II / Lightning WCR from the 90s or their more modern counterparts) for sale? Although based in Cumbria I'd be happy to travel to collect.

Hi,
I am having a clear out and have this board to sell.

Board - Length 375cm Width: 66cm Volume 258L CHS (?) {Pre 2000}, with mast extension, carbon fibre dagger board and carbon fibre fin.

Also included is a full size Stix Coast to Coast bag.

This is a classic, great board, that sails well in a wide variety of conditions.

Notes on condition: This board is used, but in good condition for its age. It has been kept in garage, protected by full size bag when not in use. The mast track, moves easily and all foot straps are fine. The fin still fit firmly to the board. There are superficial scrapes/scratches near nose of board and on one side. The bag is generally fine if not a little dusty.


Collection ONLY from BS41 near Bristol £200 or any reasonable offer.
